On the night of December 29 and into the morning, russia carried out a massive strike on Ukraine using various means of aerial attack. This was announced by Yurii Ihnat, a representative of the Air Forces, during a national Ukrainain TV news marathon on December 29.
"The enemy launched a massive attack using various means of aerial attack. They launched everything they had... except Kalibrs, - said Ihnat. - We saw Kinzhals, ballistic missiles, S-300, and cruise missiles; Shahed UAVs were also used. The enemy also launched Kh-22/32 missiles, and about 18 Tu-95 strategic bombers were used as well (preliminary information indicates the use of Kh-101, Kh-555 missiles). Indeed, we see that the enemy, with significant power, carried out an attack today; there are confirmed hits in regions, but unfortunately, there are also casualties. This information will be reported later. We haven't seen so many enemy missiles on our screens for a long time".
Ihnat noted that this was observed in all regions, on all fronts.
"Ukraine was the target... Initially, the occupiers conducted reconnaissance with Shahed drones, and then they launched missiles of various types. Traditionally, they circled, avoiding places where they could be shot down, and thus approached the target", - said the representative of the Air Forces.
Earlier reports indicated that Ukraine was under a massive rocket attack, with explosions heard in Dnipro, Pavlohrad, Kharkiv, and Myrhorod.
