OSCE armed police mission should work in Donbass before the elections and continue the stabilization period after the elections. It was stated by the representative of Ukraine in the subgroup of Humanitarian Affairs of the Trilateral Contact Group, President’s Envoy on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko today at the briefing in Kiev, - reportsUNIAN.
"It is also unacceptable to have non-public discussion that this mission (OSCE armed police mission - ed) should be only on the election day. It is not a mission then, it must be before the elections, during the elections and during the stabilization period after the elections in order to resolve the conflict, not to put a tick in the big European reports that it is resolved," - she said.
She stressed that it was unacceptable to treat resolution of the conflict formally.
