Russian occupiers attempted to breach the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense on the Vovchansk direction in the Kharkiv oblast at around 5:00 a.m. on May 10. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram.
"Approximately at 5 a.m., there was an attempt by the enemy to break through our defense line under the cover of armored vehicles. As of now, these attacks have been repelled, and fighting of varying intensity continues", - the statement said.
It is clarified that during these 24 hours, the enemy conducted air strikes on the Vovchansk direction using guided aviation bombs. With the onset of night, the russian occupiers intensified their firepower on the front line of our defense with the support of artillery.
"To strengthen the defense in this sector of the front, reserve units have been directed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to repel the enemy's offensive. Thanks to every soldier, sergeant, and officer who demonstrate the necessary resilience and bravery to defend our positions", - the Ministry of Defense also writes.
The Telegram channel "Operatyvnyi ZSU" published two photos with a telling commentary: "Kharkiv breakthroughers".
Earlier, with reference to the head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, it was reported that the russian occupiers do not pose a threat to Kharkiv, but they have enough forces for provocations in the northern direction.
