Stoltenberg: We must avoid the repeat in delays in US military aid to Ukraine 06/18/2024 11:02:27. Total views 241. Views today — 1.

A constant flow of Western weapons is crucial for establishing peace in Ukraine, stated NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Washington, according to Voice of America.

This statement comes shortly after a peace summit held last week in Switzerland, where putin's demand for Kyiv's effective capitulation as a condition for starting peace negotiations was condemned.

"It may seem paradoxical, but the path to peace is more weapons for Ukraine", - Stoltenberg said, speaking at the Wilson Center in Washington.

Stoltenberg warned that delays in providing US military aid to Ukraine, such as those that occurred earlier this year, must not be repeated.

"That's why I expect that at the summit, our leaders will agree that the North Atlantic Alliance will lead the coordination and provision of security assistance and training for Ukraine", - said the head of NATO.

Stoltenberg emphasized that Ukraine will continue to take the necessary steps to join the alliance so that it can do so immediately once the opportunity arises.
