Over the past 24 hours, russian occupiers shelled 14 settlements in the Donetsk oblast: one person was killed, three were injured, and 83 civilian objects were damaged. This was reported on Telegram on the morning of August 5 by the regional police.

"Over the past day, police recorded 2,878 russian strikes. Explosions occurred in the cities of Lyman, Novohrodivka, Toretsk, and Ukrainsk, as well as in the villages of Hrodivka, Novoekonomichne, Vesele, Vovchenko, Dalne, Mykolaivka, Novyi Komar, Rozdolne, Trudove, and Uspenivka. In Hrodivka, the russians used an FAB-250 aerial bomb, killing one person and injuring another. A private house was destroyed. Russians shelled Ukrainian troops from the Smerch MLRS and artillery. As a result of the shelling, one civilian was injured, and six private houses, a medical facility, and a garage were damaged", - the report stated.

"In Vesele, occupiers hit a loader with a UAV, injuring one person. Four UMPB D-30 SN bombs were dropped on Rozdolne by the russians, destroying nine houses, an educational institution, and an administrative building. In Trudove, eight houses were damaged, and in Novoekonomichne, one high-rise and eight private houses were damaged", - the police confirmed.

Earlier reports indicated that 744 children and their families are being forcibly evacuated from four communities in the Donetsk oblast.
