The Ukrainian army, reportedly having entered the Kursk oblast, is said to have captured the "Sudzha" gas measurement station on Wednesday, August 7. This station was the only remaining Gazprom facility for pumping gas into Europe through Ukrainian territory. "The Moscow Times", citing russian "war correspondents", reports this development.

"Sudzha", the last Gazprom pumping station through Ukraine, was under the control of Ukrainian forces as of 1:00 p.m. moscow time, according to "Rybar", who notes that the Gazprom station is located very close to the checkpoint.

According to their information, Ukrainian troops managed to advance 3 kilometers further into the Kursk oblast since the beginning of the day, taking control of Obukhovka, Pokrovskoye, Tolsty Lug, and Lyubimovka.

The "Sudzha" station exports approximately 40 million cubic meters of gas daily. This fuel is sent to Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary, accounting for about half of Gazprom's gas supplies to Europe. The remaining gas is purchased by European countries through Turkey via the "Turkish Stream" pipeline.

As reported, russian military forums are experiencing hysteria regarding the combat actions in the Kursk oblast, with accusations directed at the kremlin and reports of the complete capture of Sudzha on August 7.
