Russian authorities have declared a "federal level of response" in the Kursk oblast. This was reported by the russian Ministry of Emergency Situations on Telegram.
"The situation in the Kursk oblast has been classified as a federal emergency", - the statement said.
It was specified that a "federal level of response" has been established in the region. This decision was made by the governmental commission for the prevention and elimination of emergencies and for fire safety during an extraordinary meeting.
According to russian legislation, a federal level of response is set when "eliminating an emergency situation with the forces and means of the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which affects the territories of two or more of these entities".
