A pregnant woman in the Kursk oblast was shot by soldiers wearing russian uniforms with a red armband at the very beginning of the Ukrainian armed forces' incursion into russian territory. This was acknowledged by russian propagandist Marina Akhmedova on her Telegram channel.

She reported that she met with the husband of the deceased, who said that a family from Sudzha was shot by soldiers dressed "in our uniform with a red armband".

To explain this unpleasant fact, the propagandist unfoundedly claimed that the Ukrainian armed forces supposedly disguise themselves in russian military uniforms to kill civilians.

Akhmedova's statement does not stand up to scrutiny. Firstly, the Ukrainian armed forces were equipped in their own uniforms during their advance into russian territory. It is hard to believe they would quickly change into enemy uniforms to "hunt" civilians. Additionally, using such camouflage during an offensive would have inevitably exposed Ukrainian troops to "friendly fire" from their own assault units.

As previously reported, russian propaganda is trying to portray Ukrainian troops in the Kursk oblast as conducting punitive actions against civilians. The death of the pregnant woman from Sudzha has become the first stone in the wall of lies constructed by russian propaganda.
