The "Freedom of Russia" Legion is urging all russian military personnel to voluntarily surrender to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The legion's appeal was published on their Telegram channel.
"We address the servicemen of the Russian army. Your political officers, sitting comfortably in the rear, insistently recommend not surrendering and instead blowing yourselves up with your own grenades. But Russian soldiers are ignoring this criminal order by the hundreds, choosing to live rather than die for another medal for a colonel or another mansion for Gerasimov. This choice is a healthy alternative to a senseless death. We call on all Russian military personnel to voluntarily surrender to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, just as your comrades have done", - the appeal states.
"For those who wish to continue fighting for a better future for Russia, there remains the solid option of joining the Legion. We are ready to talk with anyone who wishes to turn their weapons against the kremlin. History teaches that when the people lose faith in their 'rulers', they choose freedom. And it seems that moment has already arrived", - the message emphasizes.
It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have captured around two thousand russian soldiers in the Kursk oblast.
