Russians carried out 2,725 shelling attacks along the front line and residential areas of the Donetsk oblast in the past 24 hours, resulting in five deaths and seven injuries. This was reported by the regional police on August 20 via Telegram.

Strikes were recorded in 14 settlements: the cities of Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Selydove, Siversk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar; the villages of Velyka Novosilka, Zarichne, Kurakhivka; Katerynivka, Nove, Novoandriivka, Toretske, and Shakhtarske.

A total of 32 civilian structures were damaged, including 18 residential houses, an administrative building, an enterprise, an educational institution, garages, and vehicles.

In Zarichne, the occupiers struck with an Uragan multiple rocket launcher, killing three civilians and damaging two private homes.

Toretsk was hit by russian artillery, resulting in the death of an elderly woman, injuries to three residents, and damage to a private home.

In Siversk, a Grad rocket attack killed one civilian and injured another. Seven private homes were damaged.

Two people were injured in Chasiv Yar, and one person was injured in Selydove.

Additionally, overnight, the enemy attacked Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Annivka, and Serhiivka. Eleven civilian structures were damaged, including five residential houses, an educational institution, a cultural center, a café, agricultural machinery, and vehicles. According to preliminary reports, no residents were harmed.

On August 20, the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration reported via Telegram that a total of 3,426 people, including 302 children, were evacuated from the front line in the past 24 hours.
