"By his decree, Putin increased the total personnel of the Armed Forces to 2,389,000 people, including 1.5 million military personnel", - the report said.
It is noted that the last time putin increased the size of the armed forces was on December 1, 2023, when the number was set at 2,209,130 people, including 1,320,000 military personnel.
