Ukraine has received information that russian dictator vladimir putin may attend the G20 summit in Brazil, scheduled for November. In that case, he should be arrested, according to Ukraine's Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin in an interview with Reuters, as reported by Fakty.

Kostin stated that the international community needs to unite to hold putin accountable for his crimes.

"Due to information that putin may visit the G20 summit in Brazil, I would like to emphasize once again that the Brazilian authorities, as a member state of the Rome Statute, are obliged to arrest him if he decides to attend", - the prosecutor general stressed.

Kostin added that Brazil could confirm its status as a democratic and lawful state by arresting putin. Failure to do so could set a precedent where criminals go unpunished.

So far, Brazilian officials have informed Reuters that they have sent putin an invitation to the G20 meeting in Rio de Janeiro, scheduled for November 18-19. However, it is not yet known whether he will attend.

It is worth noting that in March 2023, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for vladimir putin, accusing him of the war crime of deporting children.
