Russian occupiers killed four captive soldiers of the Ukrainian National Guard on October 6 near Selydove in the Donetsk oblast, as reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General on Telegram on October 24.

"According to operational data, on October 6, 2024, four National Guard soldiers were carrying out combat duties at positions near the city of Selydove. Around 1:00 PM, occupying forces launched an assault on the fortifications, during which they captured our defenders. Later, representatives of the russian Armed Forces recorded a video of the interrogation of the wounded, unarmed National Guardsmen. The next day, Defense Forces regained the lost positions and discovered the bodies of the killed Ukrainian soldiers during search operations", - the statement read.

It is noted that under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in a criminal case concerning violations of the laws and customs of war, connected with intentional killing (part 2, article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
