Russia will deploy North Korean military personnel in combat operations against Ukraine as early as October 27-28, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on social media on October 25 after a briefing from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"According to intelligence, the first North Korean troops will be used by russia in combat zones on October 27-28. This is an obvious escalatory step by russia, which carries significance, unlike all the disinformation circulating in Kazan these days", - the President stated.
"The world can clearly see what russia truly wants, and that is the continuation of the war. That is why a principled and strong response from world leaders is necessary. The actual involvement of North Korea in combat must be met with more than closed eyes and confused comments; there must be tangible pressure on both moscow and Pyongyang to uphold the UN Charter and to penalize this escalation", - Zelensky emphasized.
It was previously reported that putin did not deny information about sending North Korean troops to russia during a press conference in Kazan.
