Russian forces have destroyed Mariupol’s oldest school, constructed back in the 19th century, according to the Mariupol City Council.
Mariupol Collegium School No. 1 was among the city’s oldest educational institutions, built in 1894. Before the 1917 revolution, it housed the Mariinska Women’s School.
Now, to erase traces of their actions, the occupiers plan to construct a new building on the site.
