In Kurakhove, the Donetsk oblast, 800 civilians are still present, and nearly 300 remain in the Kurakhove community. This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, during a national Ukrainian TV marathon on November 20.
According to Filashkin, around 800 civilians in the city have chosen not to evacuate. They have stocked up on food supplies and medicine.
“They are staying in basements. The enemy has destroyed almost 70% of the city”, - Filashkin said.
It is also reported that 750 people remain in Toretsk, and 304 in Chasiv Yar, where delivering humanitarian aid is challenging.
Filashkin noted that 106 frontline settlements in the Donetsk oblast currently have no electricity, gas, or water. However, the rest of the oblast is prepared for the heating season.
As previously reported, all children have been evacuated from the Kurakhove community, while 246 minors remain in Pokrovsk.
