The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense conducted an operation in temporarily occupied Crimea, resulting in the destruction of a "Podlet" radar station. Main Intelligence Directorate reported this on Telegram on November 28.
"On November 28, 2024, as a result of a successful operation by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, the russian 'Podlet' radar complex was destroyed", - the statement reads.
Details of the radar's destruction remain undisclosed—only that the enemy equipment was "burned".
A map attached to the post shows that the russian radar was destroyed in the western part of Crimea.
According to intelligence, the russians used the 48Ya6-K1 "Podlet" radar to detect low and ultra-low-altitude aerial targets in complex conditions. It operates in conjunction with S-300 and S-400 missile systems.
The approximate cost of such a radar is $5 million.
