"After the car explosion in Donetsk, the head of the Olenivka prison of the DNR, Sergey Evsyukov, was killed. His wife was also injured—she lost a leg and is in critical condition at the hospital", - the report stated.

Preliminary reports suggest that about 100 grams of plastic explosive, equivalent to TNT, were placed under the chassis of Evsyukov's Toyota Land Cruiser.

"Sergey Evsyukov’s wife is currently in the hospital. She is conscious but declined to speak with journalists", - russian media reported later.

Let us recall that in the Olenivka prison in the Donetsk oblast, 53 Ukrainian POWs were killed and another 73 injured in an explosion in July 2022.

"The russian side claimed that the prison was struck by HIMARS rockets, while the Ukrainian side stated that the explosion occurred inside the building due to the use of thermobaric weapons. Later, experts interviewed by CNN said that russia’s version was most likely fabricated and that the likelihood of the building being hit by a HIMARS rocket was virtually excluded. The UN mission established to investigate the deaths of the servicemen in Olenivka was dissolved due to the lack of security guarantees", - writes "DW Glavnoe".
