President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that a framework agreement on natural resources has been reached between the U.S. and Ukraine, and it does not require parliamentary ratification. This was reported by Suspilne on February 26, citing its own correspondent.

“There aren’t all the security guarantees that Ukraine wanted to see, but I wanted there to be at least a mention of guarantees, and it is included in the framework agreement—point 10, I believe”, - Zelensky said.

It is noted that the document does not include provisions regarding a $500 billion fund or full U.S. ownership.

According to Zelensky, Kyiv and Washington will develop a separate, detailed agreement on the fund, which will require ratification by the Verkhovna Rada.
