The construction of the so-called compensation housing has been halted by the occupiers. This was reported by the Mariupol City Council.
"Occupation channels reported that excavation work has begun on the site of the former house No. 59 on Kyivska Street. A residential complex called Olimpiysky will be built here. Of course, the apartments will be sold through mortgages. The construction of so-called compensation housing has been halted by the occupiers", - the statement reads.
Meanwhile, more than 18,000 Mariupol residents have been living on the streets for three years. The residents are outraged: "When will something be done for the people? Everything is for someone else!" "Another mortgage! And where are we supposed to live? Nobody cares about us".
As previously reported, putin has demanded that the leader of the so-called "DNR" provide a report on the allocation of apartments to homeless Mariupol residents near the homes destroyed by the russian army.
