“Trump’s plan” may still be revised. Behind closed doors, Kyiv has outlined three “red lines” to its partners — media report 04/24/2025 10:45:58. Total views 134. Views today — 53.

The 23 April talks in London, which many had hoped would bring Ukraine and the world closer to ending the war — or even pausing it — did not achieve either goal, writes European Pravda.

In fact, the London meeting was deliberately undermined even before it began. The outlet notes that problems arose from the U.S. vision of a peace settlement, coordinated between Washington and moscow.

“To raise the stakes, Trump personally, and also via the State Department, warned that this was a ‘last offer’, If this peace plan is not accepted, the United States ‘will pull out of the process’. But Ukraine regarded ‘Trump’s plan’ rather skeptically. Moreover, European partners backed Ukraine and likewise told the U.S. they were dissatisfied with the proposal”, - EP writes.

Nevertheless, the author argues, “Trump’s plan” can still be changed.

After the recent Ukraine‑NATO meeting, European Pravda learned what stance the Ukrainian foreign minister advanced in talks with partners. According to EP’s sources, he voiced three red lines for peace negotiations:

- Recognition by Ukraine of russian annexation, including Crimea, is impossible under any circumstances.

- The right to choose security (NATO) or economic (EU) alliances that Ukraine seeks to join cannot be limited.

- Ukraine will not accept an agreement that imposes restrictions on the AFU and Ukraine’s defense capability (this point has now been modified into the issue of security guarantees, since Trump’s plan did not envisage limits on the AFU).
