MEP Rebecca Harms stated that the occupied area of Donbass extended under the Minsk agreements. She said this at a briefing in Kramatorsk, - the correspondent of OstroV reports.
"We met with the local authorities of Avdiivka. And they clearly showed that in the first Minsk agreements the contact line was two kilometers closer to Donetsk. Now the contact line is moved to the middle of the controlled area. And now it is clear that Minsk agreements are broken... They just took the territory and there is no question which side violates the ceasefire. We see the positions on the map: there is moving in the direction of the country, which was attacked and, conversely, the occupied territory increases", - Harms said.
In her opinion, the Europeans need to honestly evaluate what is happening. "We need to clearly identify what is the force that started aggression and occupied part of Ukraine. Even when we are analyzing the OSCE reports", - she noted.
