Occupant "authorities" of certain areas of the Donetsk region declare ceasefire regime for urgent recovery of the work of the Donetsk filtration plant. This was stated by the so-called "Chairman of the People's Council" of the "DPR" Denis Pushilin, - separatist media report.
"We insist on swift actions to restore the work of the DFS. To do this, first of all, it is necessary to repair damaged power lines. We guarantee the ceasefire, and we are waiting for such guarantees for the recovery teams on the part of Ukraine. Secondly, the security guarantees for DFS personnel from warring parties, that is, from us and from Ukraine are necessary, with the assistance of the OSCE and SMM", - Pushilin stated.
Earlier, the head of Donetsk regional military and civil administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi reported that as of 8am, the Russian side did not provide written guarantees of the ceasefire. In addition, according to him, around 6am, the militants have stepped up attacks on the Ukrainian military in the vicinity of Avdiivka, it was quiet in the town itself.
On Friday, Water of the Donbass company has taken the decision to stop the work of the DFS because of massive attacks. It is situated between Avdiivka and Yasynovata and provides water for towns on both sides of the front line. These are Donetsk, Yasynovata, villages Vasylivka and Spartak, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka and Verhnetoretske village.
On February 24, in the result of a heavy shelling, a high-voltage power line of 110 kV "Makiivska 1-AKHZ number 2" was damaged, due to which electricity supply discontinued for about 22 thousand people in Avdiivka.
