The European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) has finally approved the draft legislative resolution on the registration of Ukraine into the list of third countries for citizens of which visa requirements are canceled, - Ukrayinska Pravda reports.

39 members of the Committee voted for the decision, one abstained and four voted against.

The member of the European Parliament Michal Boni made a short statement before the vote regarding the trialogue between the European Parliament, the EU Council and the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU, in terms of which a visa-free regime for Ukraine was agreed last week.

He stressed that Ukraine has fulfilled all the EU requirements for the provision a visa-free regime and "even exceeded expectations".
