The General Prosecutor's Office submitted the results of an investigation of the circumstances of the Ilovaisk tragedy, according to which the involvement of Russian troops in Ukraine is proven. The press service of the General Prosecutor's Office reported this.
It is noted that two complex judicial military expert examinations were conducted during the investigation, involving 31 experts and specialists in the military sphere.
It is reported that in August 2014, taking into account the significant success of the ATO forces, in order to prevent the defeat of the terrorist forces in the third decade of August 2014, the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces organized the invasion of the regular units to the territory of the Donetsk oblast with simultaneous artillery shelling of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Russian territory.
"The only factor that is directly related to the cause and effect of the Ilovaisk tragedy is the military aggression of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the form of direct invasion to the territory of Ukraine and further committing war crimes", - the General Prosecutor's Office notes.
