The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has expanded the boundaries of the Bakhmut district of Donetsk oblast at the expense of the territory of Hladosove settlement, located near uncontrolled Horlivka, - 112 Ukraine reports.
230 deputies voted for this decision.
The need for such a decision was justified by First Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Herashchenko. According to her, the change in the subordination of the settlement will help local residents to receive social assistance from Ukraine.
The deputies decided to include Hladosove settlement in the Novoluhanske village council of the Bakhmut district. In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to ensure the interaction of central and local executive authorities with local authorities in resolving issues.
