Most of the residents of Donetsk oblast are worried about the hostilities, lack of decent work and poor state of the roads. This is evidenced by the results of the survey, which was conducted as part of work on the Regional Development Strategy until 2027, - the press service of the Donetsk Regional State Administration reports.

The survey was conducted online and by filling out paper questionnaires within a month. In total, 3800 residents of the region took part in the survey, who expressed their opinion on the key problems of the Donetsk oblast, quality of services and priority areas of activity of the regional authorities.

Thus, the top three key problems included hostilities, lack of decent work and poor road conditions. Accordingly, the population sees the development of engineering and social infrastructure, attraction of new investments, improvement of the ecological situation and creation of conditions for the self-realization of young people as priority areas for the concentration the authorities' effort.

The availability of high-quality services was estimated by the respondents mainly by 3 points out of 5. The worst indicators were for health services (37% of the respondents gave them 1 point) and gas supplies (30% of the population rated them at 1 point). Fire and rescue services received the highest rating - 4 points from 36% of people who took part in the survey.

It is noted that the results of the survey on economic development have demonstrated the traditional views of the population and support for the existing structure of the economy. The top five included the coal industry, metallurgy and mechanical engineering. The second place was occupied by agriculture and the fifth - by alternative energy.

The obtained results will be taken into account when determining the priority problems, the solution of which is directed to the tasks of the future Donetsk Oblast Development Strategy.
