The U.S. President Joe Biden announced full support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine from the USA during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 16. It is reported by BBC Ukraine.

"The USA has expressed its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine", - Biden stated at a briefing following the leaders' nearly four-hour meeting in Geneva.

The U.S. President also noted that he agreed with Putin on diplomatic efforts in the implementation of the Minsk agreements for the peaceful settlement of situation in the Donbas.

"He did not contradict me. However, it is clear that there were differences (in views)", - Biden added.

As reported, Putin claims that Biden "agrees that the Minsk agreements should be at the heart of the settlement in southeastern Ukraine".

Following the talks with Biden, the Putin administration stated that "there is a hope" for settlement in the Donbas.
