Despite fierce fighting, Ukrainian soldiers continue to make progress on the Bakhmut direction. This was stated on May 30th in Telegram by the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky.
"The defense forces continue to advance and destroy the enemy", - he wrote.
As confirmation of his words, Syrsky published a video from the outskirts of Bakhmut. The footage shows our machine gunners providing cover fire for the forward movement of other Ukrainian fighters.
The video also shows that the fighters were able to take over dugouts. They also demonstrated trenches. It is noted, however, that the forward movement of the defense forces is slowing down due to the possibility of the territory being mined.
It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had advanced another 450 meters in the area of Bakhmut.
