On the morning of December 24, Polish farmers concluded their protest in front of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. The movement of trucks has resumed. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on Telegram.

The protest at the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint ended at 9:30 a.m.. Currently, the processing and passage of trucks across the border into Ukraine are carried out in a normal mode.

Border guards, together with control services, are working to ensure the passage of the maximum number of trucks, the State Border Guard Service assures.

The border was unblocked after Polish farmers promised to suspend the protest during the holidays - from December 24 to January 2 or 3.

Meanwhile, carriers at the Dorohusk checkpoint announced that they would block the border with Ukraine even on Christmas. Moreover, they will intensify the blockade: only one truck will be allowed every three hours instead of three, as it was before.

Previously it was reported that on November 6, Polish carriers began a blockade of the border with Ukraine at three checkpoints: Korchova-Krakivets, Yahodyn-Dorohusk, Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska. Later, Polish farmers joined them, blocking the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint.

As reported, the day before, there were over 4,000 cars waiting in lines at the border between Ukraine and Poland.
