Ukraine is set to receive the first tranche of €4.5 billion under the Ukraine Facility program in March, with a second tranche of €1.5 billion arriving in April. This announcement was made by the Executive Vice President of the European Commission, Valdis Dombrovskis, during a joint briefing with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in Kyiv, as reported by Ukrinform.
"We are finalizing the support mechanism for Ukraine, which is called the Ukraine Facility... The first tranche of this assistance, amounting to €4.5 billion, will be delivered in March, and shortly after that, in April, €1.5 billion will be provided", - stated Dombrovskis.
On February 27, the European Parliament supported the decision to initiate the Ukraine Facility - a tool enabling Ukraine to receive financial and technical assistance from the EU totaling €50 billion between 2024 and 2027.
