Following a concentrated missile attack overnight on Thursday, April 11, russian forces completely destroyed the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant in the Kyiv oblast. This was stated by the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PJSC Centrenergo Andrii Hota in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
"All employees who were on duty during the shelling are alive", - Hota reported.
According to him, the hits resulted in a massive fire in the turbine hall. Currently, efforts are underway at the plant to contain the fire.
The statement reminds that on March 22, 2024, russians completely destroyed the Zmiyivska Thermal Power Plant in the Kharkiv oblast, and on July 25, 2022, russian forces occupied the Vuhlehiska Thermal Power Plant in the Donetsk oblast.
Currently, PJSC Centrenergo has lost 100% of its generation capacity.
