According to preliminary data, russian forces struck Chernihiv on April 17 with three Iskander cruise missiles. This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, in a comment to the publication Suspilne Chernihiv.
"The russians struck Chernihiv with three Iskander cruise missiles", - said the OMA head.
As noted by the State Emergency Service, preliminary reports indicate that 13 people died as a result of the russian missile attack, with another 61 injured, including 2 children. Three people were rescued from the rubble.
It is likely that people are still trapped under the debris of partially collapsed buildings.
The rescue operation continues in Chernihiv. As a result of the missile strikes on the city center, an eight-story building was destroyed, four apartment buildings were damaged, as well as a hospital, an institution of higher education, and dozens of cars.
