Over the past day, the Donetsk oblast has been subjected to 1816 enemy shelling incidents, resulting in one fatality and two injuries. The regional police reported this on April 18.

"The russian army unleashed fire on 5 populated areas: Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka, the villages of Zhelanne, Ocheretyne, and Markove. Twenty-two civilian objects were damaged, including 19 residential buildings, educational institutions, and administrative buildings. In Krasnohorivka, two civilians were injured, and private homes were damaged. Russian military airstrikes targeted Kostiantynivka, damaging 12 private homes and an educational institution. Artillery fire from the enemy struck Markove of the Kostiantynivka community, damaging a private home, administrative building, and educational institution. Three homes were damaged in Zhelanne as a result of aviation and artillery strikes", - the statement said.

Additionally, overnight on April 18, russia launched 10 missile strikes on the Donetsk oblast. Six missiles were aimed at Pokrovsk, damaging a service station, a plant, and 8 civilian vehicles.

"Four more missiles targeted Selydove, killing a civilian. Twelve private homes, an agricultural enterprise, a shop, and a power line were damaged", - the police added.
