Over the course of more than two days, the efforts of the Oblast Military Administration, local administrations, the coordination humanitarian center, volunteers, police, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have led to the evacuation of over 4,000 residents from areas where there is a threat to the lives and health of civilians. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov.
All evacuees are provided with support according to the roadmap developed back in 2022:
"We provide accommodation for everyone who needs it. 70% of the evacuees have housing to stay, mostly with relatives and loved ones. We also provide humanitarian, medical, psychological, and legal assistance. We have set up nearly 900 additional places for evacuees. If necessary, we will increase this number. As for the direction of Staryi Saltiv, there are no problems with evacuating and moving the civilian population in this direction", - he noted.
According to Synehubov, there are clear agreements with the Ukrainian railways in case the pace of evacuation increases, including beyond the region, to provide additional trains on certain routes.
