During the EU Leaders Summit, Ukraine signed a security agreement with the European Union, as well as with Estonia and Lithuania, reports Hromadske.

The preliminary text of the agreement with the EU included two main sections on security guarantees, each consisting of nine points. The first section addresses long-term defense assistance, while the second focuses on "the future of Ukraine and its citizens in the European Union", demining and reconstruction, strengthening anti-russian sanctions, and similar topics.

Additionally, the document outlines support for Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program amounting to 50 billion euros, and provision for urgent consultations within 24 hours in the event of potential aggression against Ukraine in the future.

Ukraine also signed security agreements with Lithuania and Estonia. Previously, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the signing of these agreements, noting that the agreement with the EU "will for the first time secure the obligations of all 27 member states to provide broad support to Ukraine, regardless of any internal institutional changes".

It is worth noting that earlier Zelensky met with Kamala Harris in Switzerland and stated that the security agreement with the US is already being implemented.
