Russia intends to declare its complete innocence in the deaths of people in Kyiv and the destruction of the "Okhmatdyt" children's hospital at the UN Security Council. This was stated by Dmitry Polyansky, Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, as reported by russian media.
Russia plans to present facts about the shelling of Kyiv on July 8 that "absolutely do not confirm the Ukrainian version of this incident", he said.
The UN Security Council meeting will be held on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Kyiv time. The request for the meeting was submitted by Ukraine, the UK, France, Slovenia, and Ecuador.
According to the latest data, 36 people were killed and 140 were injured as a result of the strikes on Ukrainian territory.
