Poland will not meet Kyiv's demand to shoot down russian missiles heading towards Western Ukraine without a decision from NATO as a whole. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Polish Radio.

He noted that the situation is different for missiles flying over Polish territory.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reminded that Ukraine has long advocated for missiles flying westward to be intercepted from NATO countries' territories. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Poland will not make any decisions on this issue independently and that it must be a NATO-wide decision.

The Defense Minister added that there is no such consensus within NATO and pointed to the White House's position, which has stated it does not want to escalate the conflict.

"Of course, there are different procedures for missiles over our own territory. In that case, it is our decision", - he said.
