Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that the promise of having F-16 fighter jets in Ukrainian skies in the summer of 2024 has already been fulfilled. He discussed this in an interview with Channel 24.

"Firstly, we promised that in the summer of 2024, F-16s would be fighting in the Ukrainian skies, and this promise has been fulfilled. Secondly, this is only the first wave. We actually need more planes, and the issue of the delivery of the first wave of F-16s has already been resolved", - the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Kuleba also emphasized that Ukraine is already working on obtaining a greater number of Western fighters and other aircraft, particularly MiG-29s, which are still in service in many countries.

"This is a continuous process because there is no point in the war where you can say: 'Phew, I've done everything, the F-16s have arrived, the Patriots have arrived, we can relax'. Absolutely not! One issue gets resolved, and we are already starting to work on the next", - the minister noted.
