Overnight, equipment failure occurred at one of Ukrenergo's energy facilities, resulting in emergency power outages in seven oblasts, Ukrenergo reported on July 16.
"Last night, equipment at one of our energy facilities failed, increasing the energy deficit in the system. Four rounds of scheduled outages will be in effect throughout the day. At 10:00 a.m., Ukrenergo issued a command to implement emergency outages in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad oblasts", - the company stated.
Energy workers are already working on restoring and bringing the equipment back online.
