In the occupied territory of the Donetsk oblast, a schedule of temporary power outages has been introduced from July 19 due to the heat. This was reported by the "Regional Energy Supply Company" in the so-called "DNR".
"To ensure stable power supply and to maintain the stability of the power system, a schedule of temporary power outages is being implemented in the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic from 10:00 a.m. on July 19, 2024", - the statement said.
Power outages for each group of consumers will last 2 hours daily. The outage schedule is being implemented due to the risk of emergency shutdowns of substations and increased electricity consumption caused by abnormal heat.
According to the schedule, in occupied Donetsk, power outages will occur in two shifts – from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.. In occupied Makiivka, Volnovakha, Debaltseve, Dmytrivka, Kalchyk, Donske, Karan, Krasna Poliana, and Donetsky – from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
From 12:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m, there will be no electricity in the Volodarsky district, the villages of Panivka, Respublika, Novohrihorivka, and Novoromanivka, in Makiivka, Yenakiieve, Vuhlehirsk, Svitlodarsk, Myronivka, Dokuchaivsk, and Olenivka.
From 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m, outages will occur in Telmanove, the Starobeshevsky, Novoazovsk, Manhush districts, Mariupol, Yalta, Melekyne, Urzuf, Yurivka, Starchenkove, Novoukrainka, Fedorivka, Boiove, Suzhenka, Zelenyi Yar, Sadove, Vesele, Luhove, Volnovakha, Dmitriivka, and Donske.
From 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m – the Volnovakha district, Kalchyk, Karan, Krasna Poliana, Donetsky, Debaltseve, Yenakiieve, Vuhlehirsk, Svitlodarsk, Myronivka, Yenakiieve, the Volodarsky district, and Makiivka.
It was previously reported that several cities in the "DТR" were left without water due to power supply disruptions.
