Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that China supports the need for "not an illusion of peace, but a just and lasting peace" and confirmed China's respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba reported this in a video message posted on social media on July 25 following talks with his Chinese counterpart.
"What is fundamentally important is that China has steadfastly reaffirmed its respect for the principle of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is very important. It dispels a number of insinuations. Secondly, my Chinese colleague clearly stated that he agrees that we need not an illusion of peace, but a just and lasting peace", - Kuleba said.
