The Romanian Ministry of Defense has confirmed that debris from a russian kamikaze drone was found near the town of Plauru, located close to the border with Ukraine, according to the BBC.

In a statement published on the Romanian defense ministry's website, it was noted that specialists discovered debris at one of three possible crash sites for russian drones.

The fragments were identified as parts of a "Geran-1/2" type drone, the statement said.

According to media reports, the "Geran" drone is analogous to the "Shahed" type drone, which russia initially received from Iran and then began producing independently.

Romanian military personnel continue to search for debris in other areas.

"We emphasize that all identified locations as possible incident areas are outside populated areas and do not contain infrastructure elements", - the Romanian Ministry of Defense wrote.

Ukrainian military sources claimed that on the night of Thursday, 25 out of 38 drones were shot down, with three others "lost locationally after crossing the state border with Romania". Russia has not commented on these reports.
