Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko detailed the arrest of the 18-year-old suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion and stated that the investigation has enough evidence to prove his guilt. Klymenko shared this information on Telegram on July 25.

"There is enough evidence to assert that it was the detained individual who shot the linguist. We checked every corner along the shooter's escape route and searched around 100 hectares of forest. Finally, the suspect was tracked down. His identity was established. With his photo, it was only a matter of time: smart surveillance cameras caught him everywhere", - Klymenko wrote.

According to him, identifying the perpetrator and arresting him was a meticulous process that required high professionalism, patience, and discipline to avoid any mistakes.

"Regarding the suspect: he is 18 years old, a resident of Dnipro. During the preparation for the crime, he rented at least three apartments in Lviv. He is currently in police custody. It is important to uncover all the details. At this stage, the investigation leans towards the view that the shooter was merely the executor", - the Interior Minister stated.

Earlier, President Zelensky announced that an 18-year-old suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion had been detained in Dnipro.
