Ukraine will establish an institution aimed at ensuring the unity of Ukrainians abroad and countering russian propaganda. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a speech by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a meeting of the heads of Ukraine's foreign diplomatic missions.

The President noted that Ukrainians are present in all parts of the world and in most countries. Therefore, it is necessary to modernize state institutions to meet the task of uniting all Ukrainians around Ukraine.

According to him, it is essential to strengthen institutional presence in partner countries. This will be done in two ways. Specifically, a decision has been made to open new consulates abroad, including in Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and France.

"At the same time, and alongside the usual work through the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs system, as discussed with the Prime Minister, we are preparing to launch a new institution that will ensure the sufficient strength of global Ukrainian unity", - the President stated.

The scope of this institution will cover:

- Ukrainians in various countries and their connections with Ukraine;

- The protection of the common interests of Ukrainians as a nation.

"Essentially, this should be a Ministry of Ukrainian Unity and Counteraction to russian Influence on Ukrainians, especially abroad", - Zelensky clarified.

He noted that russia uses its propaganda resources abroad to influence, among other things, Ukrainians.

Zelensky emphasized that the educational, cultural, and informational needs of Ukrainians require greater state activity. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs alone cannot handle this task.

"We need an organization that will guide other state institutions towards specific goals. We will present all the details soon", - the President added.
