Russians carried out 2,588 attacks on the Donetsk oblast in the past 24 hours: four residents were killed, and three were injured, according to the regional police.
Explosions occurred in 13 settlements: the cities of Hirniak, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Novohrodivka, Selydove, Siversk, Ukrainsk, Chasiv Yar; the villages of Velyka Novosilka, Petrivka, Veselyi Hai, and Zoria.
Fifty-five civilian objects were damaged, including 30 residential buildings, administrative buildings, an enterprise, educational institutions, commercial pavilions, vehicles, and infrastructure.
Russians attacked Kostiantynivka with artillery, killing a civilian, and damaging three apartment buildings, three private houses, two educational institutions, an administrative building, an enterprise, and vehicles.
In Ukrainsk, a civilian was killed, and two apartment buildings were damaged. One person was killed in Siversk and another in Petrivka.
In Selydove, the occupiers struck with a drone, injuring a civilian and damaging 10 commercial pavilions at the market. One person was injured in Novohrodivka and another in Chasiv Yar.
In Velyka Novosilka, a drone attack damaged 14 private houses. In Myrnohrad, the enemy damaged an apartment building and two private houses with mortars.
On August 22, the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration reported that 3,174 people, including 246 children, were evacuated from the front line over the past day.
