Former head of the Donetsk oblast Pavlo Kyrylenko, who is accused of illegal enrichment, has posted a 30 million hryvnia ($730 thousand) bail. This was reported by Suspilne, citing information from the High Anti-Corruption Court.

On August 28, the HACC refused to place Kyrylenko, the current head of the Anti-Monopoly Committee, under arrest and instead released him on a $730 thousand bail.

Kyrylenko is accused of illegal enrichment amounting to 56 million hryvnias ($1,36 million). According to Vitalii Shabunin, head of the Anti-Corruption Action Center, the former head of the Donetsk oblast explained that his family earned this money by... selling raspberries.
