This was reported by local Telegram channels and media, who shared videos from different angles. Later, the information was confirmed by the Governor of the Omsk oblast, Vitaly Khotsenko, on Telegram.
"There was a fire at the Omsktransmash plant. The roof of one of the workshops caught fire during repairs. Specialists are working on-site. Details are being clarified", - Khotsenko wrote.
As noted by the media, the enterprise located in Omsk manufactures military equipment, including tanks and Solntsepyok systems, as well as road construction machinery, equipment for the oil and gas sector, and fulfills orders for the production of railway equipment. Due to russia's invasion of Ukraine, the plant is under international sanctions from all European Union countries, the United States, Japan, Canada, Ukraine, and Switzerland.
