UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasizes that Ukraine has the right to self-defense. He made this statement to journalists on his way to the United States, where he will meet with President Joe Biden, according to the Telegram channel "DW Glavnoe".

"We are not seeking any conflict with russia; we have no intention of that whatsoever. But they started this conflict, and Ukraine has the right to self-defense", - said Keir Starmer.

He made this comment in response to putin's statement that Ukraine's use of Western long-range missiles to strike deep inside russian territory would mean "direct involvement" in the war by NATO countries.

It is noted that one of the topics of the talks between Starmer and Biden will be the possibility for Ukraine to use Western missiles for strikes deep into russia.

The media reported earlier that London is already prepared to allow Ukraine to use its Storm Shadow cruise missiles for strikes on russian territory.

It was previously reported that the United States is demanding a strategy from Zelensky for strikes on russia before lifting the restrictions.
