On September 13, another 49 Ukrainian military personnel and civilians were returned to Ukraine from russian captivity. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Another return of our people, which we always await and work for. 49 Ukrainians are now home. These are warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service, as well as our civilians. Among them is Lenie Umerova, a young woman whom the russians took hostage when she came to care for her sick father. We also managed to free some more defenders of Azovstal. At home now is also the Hero of Ukraine, military medic Viktor Ivchuk", - said the President.
"I thank our entire team that ensures the release of prisoners and hostages from russian captivity. And I want to especially acknowledge each of our Ukrainian units that contribute to the exchange fund for our state. All our warriors who capture the russian occupiers, all our services that neutralize russian saboteurs and collaborators, bring us closer to the liberation of our people. We must bring all our people home — both warriors and civilians", - Zelensky emphasized.
